§ 01Definitions
"Platform": Qanuni (qanuni.sa), its apps and services, operated by its owner ("we").
"User": anyone who visits or registers, including "Clients" seeking legal services and "Providers": licensed lawyers, consultants, law firms, companies and their team members.
"LexMind": the AI-assisted legal research service on the Platform.
"Escrow": the Platform receiving the fee from the Client by bank transfer, holding it, and releasing it to the Provider according to the contract plan.
§ 02Acceptance
By using the Platform or pressing "I agree" you confirm you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and that your electronic consent binds you under the Saudi Electronic Transactions Law.
We keep a digital record of your consent including the terms version and text fingerprint, date and time, IP address, approximate country, device, browser and operating system, email and phone number; this record is evidence of consent.
§ 03Role of the Platform
The Platform is a technical intermediary. It is not a law firm, does not give legal advice and is not a party to the professional relationship between Client and Provider, and does not guarantee any outcome or the quality of professional services.
Approval and the "Verified" badge only mean that the documents submitted at approval time were reviewed; they are not a guarantee of competence or continued licensing.
§ 04LexMind and AI
LexMind answers are automatically generated general legal information for guidance only, not legal advice, and do not create a lawyer–client relationship. They may contain errors; you alone are responsible for relying on them.
Questions are processed by external AI providers whose servers may be outside Saudi Arabia; do not enter sensitive personal data. We may limit or suspend the service for any account.
§ 05Accounts and providers
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and be at least 18 or use the Platform under your guardian’s supervision.
Providers confirm they are duly licensed, bear sole professional and legal responsibility for their services and their team, and must comply with the Law of Practicing Law and professional conduct rules. Office owners are responsible for the permissions they grant their team.
§ 06Electronic contracts
Contracts issued by Providers and signed by Clients on the Platform are independent agreements between them, signed electronically by typing the signer’s name and pressing "Sign", with the text fingerprint, time and IP stored. We do not draft or review their content.
§ 07Escrow
When the Client chooses to pay through the Platform, the amount is transferred to the Platform’s announced bank account with the receipt and transfer reference attached; our obligations start only after the administration confirms actual receipt.
Confirmed amounts are held and shown to both parties as "Held by the Platform", then released to the Provider upon completion of the agreed milestone at the Provider’s request without Client objection within the period shown, or by agreement of both parties.
The Platform charges an escrow commission of 5% of the fee paid by the Client (added to the transfer) and 5% paid by the Provider (deducted from the payout), shown clearly before payment. The rate may change in future without affecting already signed contracts.
In a dispute the amount stays held until the parties agree or a competent authority decides. No interest accrues on held amounts. Refunds are net of bank charges, and the commission remains due unless cancellation is caused by the Platform. Held amounts are not deposits and the Platform does not act as a bank.
§ 08Direct payment
If the Client chooses to pay the Provider directly, the transaction is solely between the parties at their own risk and the Platform bears no responsibility for such amounts, refunds or disputes.
§ 09Subscriptions
Subscriptions are paid by bank transfer and activated after the administration confirms receipt. Fees are non-refundable after activation unless the service cannot be provided for a reason attributable to the Platform.
§ 10User content
You are responsible for your reviews, comments, replies and documents, which must be truthful and free of defamation or privacy violations. We may publish content instantly or after review, and may hide, reject or remove it.
§ 11Prohibited use
Impersonation, forged documents, unlawful use, attacking or scraping the Platform, bypassing limits, and moving contracts concluded on the Platform outside it to avoid commission are prohibited. We may restrict services or suspend or terminate accounts.
§ 12Liability
The Platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profit, data or reputation, or the acts of users or third parties. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid to the Platform itself in the three months before the event, excluding held escrow amounts. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You will indemnify the Platform against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or the law or from your content or services.
§ 13Changes, law and jurisdiction
We may amend these Terms; you will be asked to accept the new version on your next sign-in. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the competent courts in Riyadh have jurisdiction, after an attempt at amicable settlement within thirty days. The Arabic version prevails.
